The Katahdin Region offers many excellent opportunities to observe moose up-close and in their natural habitat. We offer the largest selection of moose tours in the area. Our custom trips are done by canoe, kayaks, van and pontoon boat we provide you with a variety of viewing opportunities to get you up close and personal so you can get that picture of a life time.
If you would like to relax and take it all in then one of our senic cruizes is just what your looking for we have two pontoon boats for you to choose from. Board the Katahdin Princess on Millinocket Lake for breathtaking views of Katahdin, Maine's highest mountain. Two and three hour cruises are available. Visit moose feeding areas; often eagles are seen overhead en route to its nest. deer, bear, otter, rabbits, loons, ducks and fox are all common attractions as well. Custom and hourly trips are also available.
Visit the historical Ambajejus Boom House on board of the Katahdin Queen. This Musuem once housed the men who worked the logging drives also on display are artifacts of the life in that era. Learn about local logging history, Indian folklore, the culture and traditions of the area. Scheduling to board the Katahdin Queen begins Season 2011 on the first and last Saturdays in June and August to cruise Ambajejus Lake, sister lake to a chain of serveral lakes.
